I stumbled upon this article and thought it was a very interesting read. Brandt, a former scout and talent evaluator in the NFL, wrote this article on the top  quarterbacks in this year’s draft. However, it may not be the players you were initially thinking of.

If you have ever seen “Moneyball” you’re probably thinking, “Ok, so we have the answer, now give me my quarterback”.

Not quite… Brandt even admits that this formula isn’t by any means fool-proof and he actually even writes that he doesn’t necessary agree with the findings. Still, it is a very interesting read when you consider the constant attempts to refine and perfect the art of scouting these players for NFL potential and predictors of success.

Oh and don’t worry, it isn’t a terrible place to start when thinking about these quarterbacks, after all, it does still agree that West Virginia QB, Geno Smith, is the top signal caller.
